Natural Salmon Oil and
Fish Oil 1000 are both natural sources of the Omega-3 fatty acids,
docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) making them suitable
for a wide range of conditions including joint inflammation, minor skin
conditions, peripheral circulation and arthritic pain.
Recent media attention has focused on
certain brands using polysorbate 80, a
chemical used to mask the ‘fishy’ after taste or burp that these oils can
sometimes produce. Herbs of Gold would like to assure you that both
Natural Salmon Oil and Fish Oil 1000 are free from polysorbate
80.
Natural Salmon Oil and
Fish Oil 1000 are made using wild fish caught in their
natural environment, as opposed to farmed fish which may
have been treated with antibiotics or vaccines. Both Natural Salmon
Oil and Fish Oil 1000 are fortified with antioxidant
vitamin E to ensure that you get the freshest product possible.
So what’s the difference between
Fish Oil 1000 and Natural Salmon Oil?
Salmon oil is naturally a ‘low
reflux’ oil, and also contains an additional fatty acid (as essential for health
as EPA and DHA) known as Docosapentaenoic acid (DPA). Early research on DPA, has
demonstrated a positive effect on cardiovascular health, including blood
pressure and cholesterol health as well as blood sugar regulation, circulatory
health and natal development.
Both Natural Salmon Oil
and Fish Oil 1000 are manufactured in
Australia
in a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) licensed facility, where they
undergo stringent testing during the manufacturing process. Both oils are tested
for the presence of a number of heavy metals including mercury, cadmium, lead
and arsenic as well as dioxins and PCB’s. The oils also undergo a process known
as molecular distillation, which removes man made pollutants and volatile odour
compounds. Suffice to say, neither Natural Salmon Oil nor
Fish Oil 1000 has ever tested outside the limits set out by the TGA for any
pollutants or heavy metals, therefore providing a safe supplement for all.
